Born in Akita Prefecture from the renowned Koshihikari lineage, this rice variety is named after Ono no Komachi, a famously beautiful poet from the Heian era. The name reflects a wish for enduring love and appreciation. Akita Komachi has earned Japan’s highest “Special A” rating multiple times. Its glossy appearance, soft chew, and delightful flavor remain intact even when cooled.

Sasanishiki – Miyagi

A rare and delicate variety known for its light aroma and silky, smooth texture that gently melts in your mouth. With low stickiness and a clean, refreshing finish, Sasanishiki is ideal for sushi and rice balls. Due to its challenging cultivation and limited yield, its considered a prized variety among rice connoisseurs.

Ohkome21 – Tochigi

The “miracle rice” developed over 20 years at the vast agricultural fields of Utsunomiya University in Tochigi Prefecture. Celebrated in rice competitions for its beauty and quality, Ohkome21 features impressively large and lustrous grains.
