Jalapeos are about 2 inches long and approximately 3/4 to 1 inch thick with a rounded tip. Sold fresh from Melissas in 10# bulk.

Jalapeos are found in a multitude of Latin dishes. Ranging from mild to very hot with a green vegetable flavor, Jalapeos can easily be seeded and added to soups, stews, and dips; they can also be enjoyed whole when roasted with meats or stuffed with cheese. Red Jalapeos have a sweeter flavor and are often pickled or smoked to make chipotles.

Melissas Jalapeo Peppers are hand-selected for excellent quality. Choose bright green, glossy peppers that are firm with a medium to thick flesh. Avoid soft spots. Refrigerate, unwashed in a plastic bag for up to 5 days.
