Hol Mol is the first ever democratically conceived hot sauce! The members of the “For The Love of Hot Sauce” Facebook group voted on Melissa Nieto’s cocoa-centric flavor profile and chose the name suggested by Scott Michael. Then Gene Olczak of Karma Sauces worked the elected concept into a tribute to a traditional Mexican mole poblano, with a Finger Lakes twist. Butternut squash seed oil and Mexican chocolate combine with dark fruit for a sweet and spicy finish worthy of your abuela’s carnitas, huevos rancheros, and pollo recipes.
