Aji Charapita Pepper Grinder

Description

Aji Charapitas are a rare variety of Peruvian chile renowned for their big flavor and small size (each pepper is about the size of a pea). They have a solid but not overwhelming kick (about 50,000 scoville heat units, similar to Cayenne or Aji Amarillo), along with a fruity, citrusy flavor.

Once considered the most expensive pepper in the world,a single pound is said to contain upwards of 20,000 peppers, meaning each of our pepper grinders contains almost 700 crushed individual peppers (very roughly speaking – we haven’t counted).
