Square Baklava ismade from 30 layers of phyllo pastry dough,a generous amount of coarsely ground Turkish pistachios, and then baked in the oven with sweet syrup. This variety of square baklava has slightly less dough than most baklava varieties and uses a greater amount of butter with less sugar for smoother, less sweet taste.Each piece is slightly larger than most baklava varieties, as they arecut into larger square pieces.
