The sweet, firm Honeycrisp apple has been a prized apple variety since its debut, and is quickly becoming the most popular apple variety in the United States. Honeycrisp apples were developed at the University of Minnesota back in 1960. True to its name, Honeycrisp apples have a honey-like sweetness and unique skin that breaks apart crisply and cleanly with every bite.
