Paddy Straw mushrooms are versatile enough to use in any of your favorite mushroom recipes, and are truly special in stir-fries. Once reconstituted, Paddy Straw Mushrooms obtain a smooth, velvety texture and are best when added to any dish toward the end of the cooking time. Paddy Straws (available in 12/1/2 oz. and 12/1 oz. units) will add rich flavor and a special texture to sauces, main dishes, and stews.
Melissas Dried Paddy Straw Mushrooms are hand selected for excellent quality. Store in a cool, dry place. After rehydrating, trim tough stems. Note: 1 ounce of Melissas reconstituted dried mushrooms equals 4 ounces of Melissas fresh mushrooms.
To reconstitute, blanch in boiling water for 2 5 minutes or soak 30 minutes in lukewarm water, wine, or consomm. If desired, reserve liquid to add flavor to dishes.
