These green onions, also known as Mexican BBQ Onions are similar in taste to the typical green onion variety. This onion’s appearance and robustness are what separates them from others. They almost look like typical scallions, but with a small white bulb attached. Their taste is also a bit more assertive than green onion, but less intense compared to a storage onion.

Use theseBulb green onions as a garnish atop of dishes, or cook whole. Due to their robustness, they are great for recipes that call for slow cooking.

Look for a bunch with crisp, firm leaves that are uniform in color, with fresh, hard bulbs. Avoid discolored, slimy or wilted leaves. Will store for three days in a home refrigerator crisper.
